Driving performance and stability of automobiles are greatly influenced by the aerodynamic properties of the vehicle. To quantify these aspects, typically the aerodynamic coefficients for drag, lift distribution and side forces, as well as the torques about the vehicle axes arising from this are typically investigated. The air flow can be divided into air flow around the vehicle and air flow through the vehicle. Since these flows can mutually influence each other, they cannot be optimized separately from one another.


Technical and scientific know-how, access to the aerodynamic testing equipment and numerical resources of FKFS and many years of experience from research projects in the automotive industry assure our customers that their projects are processed target-oriented and efficiently.
