Powertrain concepts

The powertrain system is an integral part of every vehicle. It decisively influences the theoretically feasible longitudinal dynamics, as well as the energy needed for a transportation task. Since networking between the powertrain and chassis is becoming more widespread, the lateral dynamics of a vehicle can also be configured decisively via the drive system, particularly in cases where the vehicle drive systems are new.

 

Our scope of services in the area of powertrain concepts includes: 

  • Dimensioning innovative power trains
  • Holistic energy evaluation of powertrain concepts
  • Development and analysis of transmission solutions
  • Examination of powertrain and chassis networks
  • Influence of lateral dynamics by means of drive force distribution to individual wheels

 

Depending on the application, both commercially available and self-developed, computer-supported simulation tools are used, and experimental analyses are carried out.
