Driving dynamics modeling (modeling and simulation)

The models used are of central importance as a basis for any theoretical test regarding driving behavior. Achieving the highest mapping quality always involves a correspondingly high effort in terms of parameterizing and validation. The use of problem-adapted models, therefore, helps to save time and money. 


The problem-specific development of models, as well as the corresponding parameterizing processes, is one of FKFS's core competences. This includes: 


Numerous simulation tools that are established in the automotive industry are available for simulation calculations. These can be adapted accordingly to the problem and customer requirement by using co-simulation and extensions in C/C++ or Fortran code and can be consolidated to create a powerful simulation and development environment.
