The objective assessment of soiling examinations is performed on completion of trials with the post-processing tool for digital soiling analysis (DiVeAn^©) developed and patented at FKFS. 

To this end, a photo taken of the area to be examined during the soiling test is further processed with DiVeAn^©. Using suitable algorithms, quantitative statements can be made about the soiled surface and its intensity. A measure for assessing the soiling is the degree of soiling, for example, which, among other things, makes it possible to compare different vehicle configurations.
