The servo-hydraulic 4-post test bench at FKFS facilitates vertical excitation at all four wheels of a vehicle. To avoid lateral force components at the wheels, linear guides can be installed on the posts.

The application areas of the test bench include:

• Testing the long-term durability of individual parts
• Examination of noises (e.g. rattling and creaking noises)
• Simulation of the rolling noise excitation in the vehicle (up to approx. 200 Hz)
• Comfort tests (e.g. engine vibration or micro-shaking of convertibles)
