The tire, as the force-transferring element between the vehicle and the road surface, is one of the crucial factors for the safety and comfort of motor vehicles. Moreover, a certain, in no way negligible, amount of driving resistance can be attributed to the tire.

To measure the complex properties of tires, a measuring technique specially adapted to these properties is required. 

For this, FKFS uses the following measuring vehicles:

• Measuring trailer for assessing the rolling resistance 
• Vehicle for measuring the longitudinal and side forces 
• Noise measuring trailer
