Measurement Technology
- Force measurement:
• Aerodynamic force measurements with switchable 6/7-component balance with integrated rolling road system for passenger cars, vans and formula 1
- Pressure measurement:
• Ground and surface pressure measurements with adhesive/pluggable flat sensors; scanner (8 x 24) or simultaneous with PSI system (8 x 16)
• Cobra and pyramid sensors
- Speed measurement:
• HDA, Dantec Streamline
• 3D LDA, Dantec
• Air flow rate measurements • Air flow rate measurements through head exchangers with internal traversing gear and speed sensors or via special measuring cooler.
- Planimetry:
• FKFS laser projector and measuring camera at the traversing gear for non-contact determination of vehicle frontal areas, deformation of soft roofs and rebounding due to circulation.
- Traversing:
• 5-axle traversing unit for flow field measurement.
• Model installation and removal with manipulator (MPEG video, 3 MB) (model wind tunnel only)
- Visualization:
• Laser light section method
• Smoke sensors
- Acoustic methods (not in the model wind tunnel):
• Flow noise measurements in the vehicle with 4 artificial heads and standard microphones
• Flow noise measurements outside the vehicle inside and outside of the flow with intensity microphone or concave reflector microphone at traversing unit
