In the climate test bench, the engine is located in a climate chamber and connected with the outside dynamometric brake via a shaft connection.
A cold-air unit is used to supply the engine with combustion air, another cold-air unit is used for cooling the engine radiator and the chamber.
The engine is cooled by a cold-water unit.
The heat flow to the vehicle heat exchanger is determined using a heat flow measurement unit (HMU).
