There is a 3D coordinate measuring table available for tactile measurement of the surface geometry or for positioning probes.

The measuring table can also be used for determining the front face of 1:4/1:5 models. For this, an optical measuring system developed at FKFS is used. Here, using a traversing unit, a laser camera unit is moved around the vehicle contour and the front face is determined via a polygonal line.
