23rd Stuttgart International Symposium on July 4 and 5 coming up

Look forward to two sessions with the latest findings on the topic of "Zero-Impact Emissions"

The 23rd Stuttgart International Symposium is approaching with great strides! The renowned conference is dedicated to current topics concerning the automotive industry. Thus, on the second day of the conference, there will also be two sessions dedicated to "Zero-Impact Emissions".

Environmental issues play an important role, especially in the automotive industry. Nowadays, the increasing concern is not only about the harmful emissions, such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC) and particulates, but also the impact of carbon dioxide (CO2). The Euro 7 emission regulation will make stricter requirements for internal combustion engines.

Therefore, in the session zero-impact emission, both the E-fuel and fossil fuel will be discussed. The development of hydrogen-fueled engine is not without problems. the methods to improve the power density of hydrogen-fueled engines while simultaneously reducing NOx emissions will be discussed. And a newly developed emission control system will be introduced, which enables the near-zero emission with gasoline, E10 fuel as well as blue gasoline. Also based on the emission control system, the numerical investigation of functionality of secondary air injection in reducing emission at cold will be presented. This session will also include the numerical results of the investigation of Cycle-to-Cycle Variation (CCV), which is an important factor to evaluate the combustion and which has impact on emissions. To simplify the more and more complex development process of Engine Control Unit (ECU), a virtual vehicle in a Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) environment will be shown, which allows the simulations with flexible boundary conditions.

These and many other exciting presentations on topics such as Renewable Fuels, Cyber Security, Mobility Concepts, Battery, Chassis Systems and many more await you at the 23rd Stuttgart International Symposium.
