Christmas fundraising at FKFS

"Christmas in a Shoebox" is the world's largest gift campaign for needy children. With the intention of doing something charitable in the run-up to Christmas and bringing its employees together, FKFS decided to participate this year. For this project, packages containing toys, painting materials, clothing and hygiene articles for children in the age groups 2 to 14 must be packed, sent to a central location and from there are being distributed to needy children in various countries.

FKFS provided a basic donation for the purchase of the boxes and gifts, while employees contributed a variety of in-kind donations or generously fed the piggy bank. These cash donations and the institute's funds were used to purchase additional toys for children.

The planned packing party did not materialize due to the pandemic, but a small, dedicated team still managed to fill 100 boxes.

Organized by "Samaritan's Purse", these boxes are now traveling to needy children all over the world. Many of them will receive presents at Christmas for the first time - a shoebox full of joy for one hundred children.
