At the Automotive Technology Leaders Present Lecture Series hosted by the University of Stuttgart and FKFS, Simon and Philipp delivered an inspiring session that offered authentic insights into what it means to pursue a doctorate at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG.
With their talk “Shaping the Future of Mobility – Insights from Porsche’s PhD Network,” they provided a compelling look at the path of doctoral candidates at Porsche. Drawing on their own research backgrounds in battery technology and their understanding of series production requirements, they highlighted current challenges, key innovations, and modern development methodologies shaping the mobility of tomorrow.
The response was exceptional: over 170 participants joined the 203rd edition of the lecture series — a strong testament to the relevance of the topic and the quality of their contributions.
We also appreciate the time both speakers spent engaging with students afterward, answering questions and discussing opportunities within Porsche. This openness creates real impact and encourages the next generation of talent.
Thank you, Simon and Philipp, for representing the Porsche PhD Network with such passion and expertise — and for inspiring the automotive leaders of tomorrow!
A big thank you to the Porsche PhD Network speakers, Simon Schimpfle and Philipp Moosmann
