Inaugural and farewell event of Professors Wagner and Wiedemann

On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, the long-awaited lecture combined of inauguration and farewell of Prof. Wagner and Wiedemann took place in the premises of the University of Stuttgart, attracting many employees, alumni and business partners. Professor Wiedemann was Chair of the board area of Automotive Engineering at FKFS and Chair Professor of Automotive Engineering at the Institute for Automotive Engineering Stuttgart (IFS) until 2019, both which Professor Wagner now heads and which have been called "Automotive Engineering" since this year.

Starting off, on behalf of the Dean of Faculty 7, Professor Hans-Christian Möhring, Professor Michael Bargende, Chair at IFS and Chairman of the Automotive Powertrain Systems board area of FKFS, was pleased to announce the two upcoming lectures to the participants.

Under the topic "Future Challenges in Driving Dynamics", Professor Wagner led through current research and topics and gave the audience an insight into the future of research and development in automotive engineering.

Professor Wiedemann then spoke on the topic of "Progress Made and Lessons Learned - 20+ years of teaching and research at IVK, University of Stuttgart" and offered all listeners an insight into significant developments of his 21 years of service at the Institute of Internal Combustion Engines and Automotive Engineering and the cooperating Research Institute of Automotive Engineering and Powertrain Systems Stuttgart, FKFS.

At the subsequent reception, the participants were able to reminisce once again and revive interesting conversations.
