Wednesday marked the official inauguration of the FKFS "Center for Climate Comfort" – a significant step in expanding both our portfolio and establishing a second location in Filderstadt.

Around 90 invited guests from industry and politics attended the event and celebrated with us. Andreas Wagner, member of the board of management division Automotive Engineering, who played a key role in the acquisition of the center, opened the evening with a speech. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of the new location, where FKFS will focus on services and research projects, including work in the Climatic Wind Tunnel, Climate Chamber and on the Climate Comfort.

Michael Kleiner, Ministerial Director at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism Baden-Württemberg, also addressed the guests. He highlighted the leading role of FKFS in cutting-edge research and stressed that the purchase of the "Center for Climate Comfort" is a forward-looking investment that significantly contributes to the innovative development of the automotive industry in Baden-Württemberg.

Christoph Traub, Mayor of Filderstadt, also delivered inspiring words. He expressed his admiration for FKFS's technical expertise and the wide-ranging opportunities the new location offers, not only for economic growth but also for advancing research for the common good.

The final speaker of the evening was Dr. Hauke Stumpf from Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche AG. He reflected on the history of the facility, which was previously owned by Porsche, and expressed his excitement about the opportunities FKFS will have with this acquisition. He particularly noted that the climatic wind tunnel can be used to test not only passenger cars but also larger vehicles like trucks and buses.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for a successful evening, the inspiring conversations, and the strong support we received throughout the whole journey!
