Project RABus in dialog on barrier-free automated public transport

Quelle: ZF

At a dialog event in Mannheim yesterday, important aspects of accessibility were discussed with people with limited mobility. The event brought together 20 guests at three stations to discuss the future of barrier-free automated public transport. In addition to our colleague Ulrike Weinrich, experts from rnv, ZF and KIT were on hand to answer questions. The focus was on the test vehicle itself, future stops and demand-based forms of service (on demand).

The RABus project is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport and we were delighted to welcome State Secretary Elke Zimmer as well as Dr. Susanne Aschoff (MdL). In her welcoming address, Elke Zimmer emphasized the importance of reliable, comprehensive public transport that takes into account the needs of people with disabilities.

The project partners will now evaluate the results and present them separately. Many thanks to everyone involved in this successful event.
