Online Seminar: Water injection and high load EGR on gasoline engines at Wed. 12.2.20, 10:00 and Fri. 21.2.20, 16:30

Cooling the gasoline engine at maximum load via "fuel enrichment", i.e. via an over-fueling, leads to a temporary functional limitation of the catalytic converter. Also for the often used "component protection" no "fuel enrichment" should be used today.

High-load EGR and water injection are alternative technologies for component protection which maintain the full functionality of the catalytic converters even at nominal power. These technologies can be used to increase engine efficiency significantly.

There are many conceivable concepts for the possible use of these technologies. Furthermore, it must be decided individually which of the two technologies is to be used. Simulation studies offer a useful way of clarifying such questions. For this, however, sufficiently reliable models are required that can also map these new technologies.

In our free online seminar (in German language!), we will give you an introduction to the operating mechanisms and examples of how to correctly simulate water injection and high-load EGR in a 1D simulation with UserCylinder®.

To receive the access link for the online seminar, please send an informal e-mail with the desired date to info(at)usercylinder.de.

We look forward to your participation!
