FKFS-Academy with four professional training courses this summer

While FKFS is known as an independent research institute and development partner of the international automotive industry it is also our aim to pass on our long-term expertise and know-how to business professionals. Hence, we have developed a highly specialized training program, the FKFS Academy, taking place at our premises in July 2023.

Course language is English. This year’s courses are: 

  • ELECTRIFICATION OF MOBILITY I – MOTIVATION, TECHNOLOGY OUTLOOK, AND MARKETS
    17 July 2023
    Lecturer: Prof. Giorgio Rizzoni, The Ohio State University

    A one-day short course designed for automotive and electric power industry executives who wish to gain a broad understanding of the technology, supply chain and market opportunities and challenges associated with electrified mobility.
     
  • ELECTRIFICATION OF MOBILITY II – INTRODUCTION TO ELECTRIC DRIVE AND ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS
    18 - 19 July 2023
    Lecturer: Prof. Giorgio Rizzoni, The Ohio State University
    A two-day course designed for automotive/mechanical engineers and researchers, with the aim of reviewing xEV technology, the challenges and opportunities associated with e-mobility.
     
  • VEHICLE AERODYNAMICS & AEROACOUSTICS
    26 – 28 July 2023
    Lecturer: Dr.-Ing. Daniel Stoll, IFS, University of Stuttgart and further experts 
    A three-day course on the fundamentals of aerodynamics and aeroacoustics covering ongoing measurement techniques as well as computational approaches and optimization strategies – taking place through theoretical lectures and practical training especially in wind tunnels.
     
  • DRIVING DYNAMICS
    26 – 27 July 2023
    Lecturer: Prof. Andreas Wagner, Prof. Hans-Christian Reuss, University of Stuttgart and experts of FKFS
    A two-day course on the fundamentals of driving dynamics covering measurement techniques as well as computational approaches and driving simulation - taking place in theoretical lectures and practical training in the Stuttgart Driving Simulator and with the Stuttgart Handling Roadway.
