Quality Management at FKFS
Already in the 90s we recognized the introduction of a quality management system according to ISO 9001 as a good chance to organize our working methods and processes. ISO 9001 is a helpful guide for us to structure the various requirements.
Our quality management system according to ISO 9001 is an ideal framework for the integration of further normative and legal requirements. In the course of the past years our quality management system has matured into an integrated management system and includes requirements of data protection, occupational health and safety, information security, fire protection etc.
Our customers are the focus of our integrated management system. For us, quality is more than just fulfilling the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard and represents the supporting pillar of our company management.
TISAX label for information security
With TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange), the German automotive industry has defined an internationally recognized standard for information security and prototype protection. The FKFS has been one of the audited TISAX companies in Germany since the fourth quarter of 2020.
With TISAX, the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has defined a standard whose fulfillment is a prerequisite for cooperation for the majority of manufacturing and supplier companies. The standard is based on a test catalog derived from the international industry standard ISO/IEC 27001 and adapted to the requirements of the automotive industry.
The tests for information security and prototype protection at the FKFS - Research Institute of Automotive Engineering and Vehicle Engines Stuttgart were carried out according to Assessment Level 3 (very high protection requirement) by the accredited testing service provider DQS GmbH from Frankfurt am Main.

About TISAX:
TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) enables mutual recognition of information security assessments in the automotive industry and provides a common assessment and exchange mechanism. The assessment results always remain under the control of the assessed companies.
This involves assessing the effectiveness of the control processes and their current implementation based on the approach specified in TISAX as published by ENX at the time of report preparation.
