Natural Gas Engine Test Bench
The FKFS currently features six test benches on which natural gas engines can be operated. In these test benches, gas sensors monitor the room and switch off the natural gas supply if they are tripped. Control units are used to switch the necessary valves, display the supply pressure and show the required safety functions.

Natural Gas Supply
The natural gas supply is designed so that 3 test benches each can be operated independently of each other. It is provided via the metropolitan gas grid, which supplies natural gas at 48 mbar. The natural gas is compressed to 200 bar using a compressor and stored in three cylinder groups with a total of 36 cylinders.
