On the evening of 22 January, Dirk Ockel from Mercedes-Benz was guest speaker at the "Technology Leaders" lecture series. About 150 listeners attended the presentation "Where Innovation hits the road: Certification@Mercedes-Benz". Ockel explained various regulations that affect car manufacturers and the certification processes. The challenges he faces as Senior Manager for Safety Certification and Regulatory Affairs at Mercedes-Benz were particularly interesting: He spoke about global legislation, cyber security and automated driving.
