One-day course on "CFD for Vehicle Aerodynamics" held for Škoda

With over two decades of expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), the Research Institute for Automotive Engineering and Powertrain Systems Stuttgart (FKFS) conducted a one-day course on "CFD for Vehicle Aerodynamics" on November 22.

Our rich background in CFD includes experimental investigations in our wind tunnels and the utilization of numerical flow simulations as a complementary tool in research and development projects. FKFS is dedicated to sharing profound knowledge in the theoretical and application-related aspects of CFD that are crucial to the automotive industry.

The course, led by Dr.-Ing. Daniel Stoll, comprehensively covered the theory behind numerical flow simulations, relevant discretization methods, various approaches to turbulence modeling, and state-of-the-art techniques for simulating rotating wheels. This training not only provided participants with insights into the latest developments and research findings in the field of CFD but also facilitated an intensive exchange of insights and expertise.
