Day 2 of the Shanghai-Stuttgart-Symposium

Today, the Shanghai-Stuttgart-Symposium continued successfully. The scientific presentations in four sessions in the morning and afternoon were followed by keynote speeches by Prof. Dr. Hans Georg Engel, Daimler Greater China and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Bargende, Board of FKFS and Chair in Automotive Powertrains of IFS at the University of Stuttgart on the current challenges of the automotive industry in China and Europe.

The symposium concluded with a panel discussion on "Global Challenges for Developing Future Vehicles". Under the chairmanship of Dr. Xiong Lu from Tongji University, the following panelists - partly connected from Stuttgart and others on-site - discussed the various aspects of globalization and Sino-German cooperation:

- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Wagner, IFS & FKFS;

- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Bargende, IFS & FKFS;

- Prof. Zhang Lijun, Tongji University;

- Gary Zhong, Infineon Technologies Greater China and

- Prof. Dr. Hans Georg Engel, Daimler Greater China.
