Prof. Dr.-Ing. Casal Kulzer new board member at FKFS

With great pleasure we announce that since January 1st, 2022 our board of management has been complemented by Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Casal Kulzer. Mr. Casal Kulzer has been deputy board member of FKFS since the beginning of this year. He looks back on a successful professional career in the automotive industry. After receiving his doctorate from the University of Stuttgart in 2004, he held various management positions at Robert Bosch GmbH and Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche AG, most recently as Head of Performance Development and Combustion Processes including the topics of regenerative fuels and electrified drive concepts at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG.

 

In 2004, Mr. Casal Kulzer received the TR 100 Young Innovator Award from MIT magazine "Technology Review" as "one of the world's top young innovators under 35" and in 2005 he was awarded the first prize of the Stuttgart Forum on the topic of transport and the environment. From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Casal Kulzer was already an invited assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Universidade Aveiro in Portugal. He is fluent in German, English, Portuguese and Spanish.

 

Mr. Casal Kulzer is 46 years old, married and has three daughters. He has lived in Böblingen for over 20 years. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, surfing on the Atlantic Ocean in Portugal and he has a soft spot for motor sports.

 

We are convinced that Prof. Dr.-Ing. Casal Kulzer will be a great asset to FKFS and its research and development in the field of vehicle drive systems. We would like to wish him a good start!
